Opportunity and Preparation
The idiom "Preparation meets opportunity" very true. Today I had the opportunity that I patiently waited to come my way. Unfortunately, I was not prepared. Although I am a stickler about this idiom and every day when I look in the mirror, I recite, "Tamara, be prepared for opportunity", today, I wasn't. I have to say I am a bit disappointed in myself because I wanted this so badly. For several hours, I was depressed and mentally beat myself up about the matter. But, I bounced back quickly! I realized my answers to the questions were more general than specific, so the next time I meet opportunity, my answers to the questions asked will be specific. In all things, I have to continue to be and stay positive. Some days I am not at my best, but it's okay because I'm human. I tell myself, "It's okay that's what humans do at times. If anyone has experienced missed opportunity for lack of preparation, it's okay, think of it as the learning and growing process. Simply, reflect, prepared, and do and be your best the next time opportunity knocks on your door.

Defeating Barriers
Ladies, we can't always be damsels in distress. Sometimes it's cool to play that role, but for the most part, we shouldn't. We always have to be equipped to deal with every adversity that comes our way, and there will be plenty. Our mothers taught us how to jump when we were young because they knew that we would face the obstacle of life. In that obstacle, there will be an overwhelming amount of hurdles. We can leap and jump across the barriers with ease. Some barriers will be a bit more difficult to jump across but nevertheless they are jumpable. We cannot fall through the cracks; we must always keep our symbolic can of sealant so that we can seal up the cracks as they come. Let's show our strength in all things.

Selflessness
I want to live life helping, inspiring, and encouraging people. I want to be the person that everyone needs in his/her life similar to a Forrest Gump character. See Forrest Gump showed loyalty, unconditional love, and compassion. He was absolutely candid. I want to love unconditional. I want my heart to be in everything that I give. It's so much easier to be positively better each day. Helping others definitely, completes me. It brings me great joy when I know that I have reached someone in a positive way. So whenever I go out and interact with people, I make sure to smile and say kind words to everyone I cross paths with. To everyone stay inspired and continue to follow your dreams, goals, and passion.
